I’m ending this week in review early, for two reasons, I never posted one last week (little done) and I’m traveling so no sewing in process over than handwork. I did have a couple of extra days this past week to get some things done.
Grandmother’s Garden, this one I backed, tied and did the binding. The quilt was found while a woman was going through her mothers things. I decided to tie it vs. quilt it because some of the fabrics were well-worn and I didn’t want the stress of machine quilting to create weak spots.
Janet pattern tested my Out of the Box quilt pattern using fabric from her daughter’s dresses. As a courtesy to my pattern testers, I offer batting and quilting as a thank-you if they wish.
Two finishes that I’ll post in detail later:
Once the finishes were out-of-the-way, I decided to piece my hashtag blocks (part of a Twilter exchange). I love love this. And I particularly loved reading the names and places of those that made them.
A not so productive week followed by several finishes, makes for a very happy quilter on the journey, Jackie
