This was one of my earlier “re-entry” into the quilting world quilts about 10 years ago. This was a class I took where the braided strip fabrics were sewn on a marked foundation in a paper-piecing style. The sashing was added separately. It was not a pattern I was familiar, though at the time I really had little knowledge of many patterns. I liked the pattern, just not the method.
The pattern is on my to do using the Binding tool I won at the Super Bowl Mystery Sew-in.
I saw this tutorial by Jenny at Missouri Star Quilt Co.
Here is a close-up of the quilting. This was also an early attempt of quilting on my domestic machine.
It no longer hangs in my studio, last year I donated it to a local shelter.
