Precious Memories

Remember this? I love the pleased smile on Rosetta’s face. Such Joy.

1-Rosetta with Quilt

When Rosetta came to the first We Honor Veteran’s Sew-in, she was expecting to hand sew. She was quite the trouper and readily took to the sewing machine.

I have many pictures of our sew-in’s over the past 2 years, but my favorite is this one, three generations making their first quilts:

Here she is sewing next to Rosie, her grand-daughter.

3-P1100024Today Marji and Rosie said their final good-byes to their beloved mother and grand-mother. She was 89.

Saddened by the loss, but privileged to have worked alongside a dear lady.

She looks so sweet. Very sorry for the loss of your friend. I love the 3 generation photo. Hugs to you.

  • Bonnie Terrey

You don’t see 3 generations making quilts anymore so this story is unique. Really like the middle quilt w/the stars.

  • Jaye

Her contributions will live on through the quilts she made and the memories you have preserved. Thanks for sharing!

PS Might be newspaper worthy. Let your local paper know. That would be an awesome tribute! JL

Thanks Jaye, that is a great idea.
