We are leaving for vacation on Saturday (insert happy dance). Have camper will travel. It becomes our home away from home and with my allergies it is the safest way for us to vacation, plus I can bring my sewing machine.
My husband is gracious enough to agree to camp in Des Moines, Iowa this particular week so I can attend the AQS show.
So my dilemma becomes what to bring to sew. I have been cleaning and organizing my sewing room lately so sewing has been put on the back burner, other than a new project I started to give me a break between cleanings.
Knowing one project may not be enough, especially if I am just piecing, I went hunting for inspiration for something else.
I discovered in my “children” fabric drawer forgotten surprises. Enough blocks from years and years ago to make another baby quilt.
The rail fence blocks on the right most likely will be deconstructed for something else.
The two projects will keep me busy.
Plus I have some quilts to see and some vendors to visit. After all what is vacation without a little retail therapy? Plus I have been saving all year for this.
Love vacation, Love quilting, Love camping, can it get any better?
What do you love to do?
Enjoy the journey, Jackie
