Hedgerow in Teal

I found this fat quarter bundle by Robert Kaufman several years ago and the large-scale design needed a  larger scale design so the prints wouldn’t get chopped up.

I pulled in a dark teal to set apart the blocks. There was very little pre-planning, just cutting into various sizes and piecing them back together.

I used the “Diagonal Plaid” pantograph by Urban Elementz for the quilting and cool grey thread by Glide to quilt it.

Here is a close-up of the quilting along with some of the piece back. The color looks bluer that it really is.

Finished this is 54 x 81. Quite long but it would be great if you are sprawled out on the couch and want to cover up.

Another picture showing the entire design. Again the color is off.

Showing off one of my finishes. 🙂

I really like this one! Those are great fabrics and it would have been a shame to cut them up.
