Southwoods Stitchers – June

Rosie stopped by to say hi.

It’s been 3 years since she’s been able to come. She started as a teen with her mom and grandmother. A couple of those early posts, here and here (this one has a priceless photo of her, her mother and grandmother all with their first quilts).

Mom’s been working on Rosie’s last quilt since, school and now college has pulled her away. Even though they were just stopping by to say hi, Rosie jumped right in to work on her quilt. Binding is all she has left and next month she hopes to come and finish.

Here is someone working on a fidget quilt.

Marcia finished piecing her quilt top and started to piece a backing.

Ann made two walker totes for the local nursing home.

And I started on 2 placemats for the volunteers at our local food pantry and assistance facility.

Good progress, a lot of fun, a pleasure to see Rosie again and a joy to work with this group.

Giving back, on the journey, Jackie
