I participated in a row by row challenge with my quilt guild and finished up this quilt.
The bag still has a lot of off pieces left but not enough for another round of the row by row so I just started piecing together what I could.
I just pieced random shapes and sizes together and would square them up as I went along.
And I kept adding until I had some decent sized blocks and then added sashing to break up the chaos to come up with this.
I did add a few other pieces from my scraps and I also used some larger pieces for the back.
I used a rounded square edge meander for the quilting.
It finishes 45″ x 45″ and will make a great man’s lap quilt for the local nursing home.
I love taking left over pieces and putting together something of value. Even if it is a “hot mess.”
