Row by Row, A Purse in Crisis, Weaving a Shawl, and a Prone Creative Space

Put my row by row donation quilt on the long arm:

Made little progress on my purse, unless you count the several times I ripped out and redid. Reading the directions have been a struggle the entire way through. I’ll blame it on the way my brain is wired. This is the inside of the purse. I’m attempting to put in the zipper. I’ll have to rip it out and try again.

Needing a break from seam ripping I put a new project on my loom, a shawl.

My soon-to-be prone creative space. I’ve spent the week collecting projects, books, magazines, taping movies and craft projects I can do while flat on my back (foot surgery sigh).  This will be my home for the week.

My hope was to get the purse finished and quilt off the long arm. Guess they’ll have to wait….  Goals thwarted, but still some progress. On the journey, Jackie

Thanks Val. I’d much rather be at my sewing machine…. but this will be fun once I’m able to sit up some.

Praying for successful surgery and a speedy pain free recovery.

Thanks Gretchen. Surgery went well. They tell me the pain will subside in a few days. I’m a big wimp.

You’ve been busy! I like the fabrics in the purse.
Good luck on your surgery. I’ll be thinking of you.

You’ve had your share of being down. Not sure how you do it. I’m pleased with the purse as well, though not the process. I think I’ll stick to quilting.
