My local quilt guild started a row by row swap/challenge for donation quilts. I missed the month it was started but an opening was available last month so I jumped in. The quilt bag comes with scraps already included but you can add your own if desired.
The top 3 rows were already completed. I guess I got caught up in the challenge, I finished 2 rows (bottom 2).
There were a variety of 5″ squares so I used them to make the 1/2 square triangles for the 4th row. The bag also had small scraps with a lot of black odd shaped pieces so I cut the scraps in 1 1/2″ widths with a variety of lengths. I added the beige from my stash.
I wasn’t sure I would like participating but I found it fun taking a variety of fabrics in many shapes and putting together a row. I can’t wait for the next swap.
