I am 99.99% sure someone gave me this book (or I possibly won it). Sadly I can’t remember (if you read this and it’s you, please tell me). I wished I had written the name and circumstances in the book of how it came to be mine.
A Month of Sundays by Cheryl Arkison
This is a book I’ve picked up when I’ve needed a respite from the busyness of life. Just thumbing through the pages, quiets my soul to a simpler time. It’s full of stories, photos and projects.
I have not read all the stories, stopped to look closely at all the photos or done any of the projects.
I have browsed through, stopped now and again to read a story, smile contentedly at some of the photos, taken a deep breath and relaxed.
I am a doer. Big time. Phrases like “Energizer Bunny” and “She is driven” are used by some in my life to describe me. So for me to choose (operative word here) to slow down is rare. But when I do, this is a book I pick up to slow down.
