Doll Hexagon Quilt

This quilt has been in process for a long time with many changes along the way. Doll Hexagon Quilt

It all started with a free kit I picked up at a booth:

I started with some neutrals with the intention of making a bed quilt. These are 3/4 inch hexagons.

It didn’t take me long to decide to use 30’s print and move to a doll quilt.

Since I was hand piecing, I thought I would hand quilt it.

I couldn’t seem to keep a straight line and I knew it was going to bug me so I used my Sashiko machine that gives a hand-quilted look. The quilt is a small 15 1/2 x 20.

I am happy for this finish. I am contemplating another paper pieced project as I like the process. Just not sure what direction I want to go.

Small but finished! On the journey, Jackie
