Week in Review, January 3, 2016

This past week was busy with out-of-town family. Grandkids. Doesn’t get any better. Here is a picture of the 6 younger ones at the cousins last hurrah/good-bye. It was hard to get them all to look at the camera at the same time.

Cousins Good bye

I did do some sewing with 2 of my daughter’s boys and I will be posting more about their projects later in the week. Here they are showing off their creativity with the little snow we had.

Colson and Caiden with snowman

After everyone left, I was able to get these donation lap quilts bound:

Donation Quilts bound

This came off my long arm.

Winnie the Pooh off the long arm

This was going to go on my long arm until I realized I needed to piece the back. Ugh. I’m still not sure how I’m going to quilt it, but I think an overall is best for this one.

Hashtag pieced

I played with sashing options with this fabric and in the midst of it changed my mind on the pattern I so now I’m headed in a different direction and I plan to use the brown fabric as a background. That is unless I change my mind again.

Stonehenge charms

In the meantime I played with scrap charms and ended up with this.

Snowball on point

Tomorrow I trade the busyness of holiday family and all that means for the busyness of work and everyday life.
