Week In Review January 4, 2015

Busy week sewing with these kiddos:

Week in Review 1.4.15And fabric shopping for the first time with this one:Grace with Fabric

I did make progress on my stack and whack challenge, playing with options:Stack and whack playAt sewing club we learned how to do twilling:TwillingThe fabric/designs were prepared for us. I’m hoping I can get the ink out if my stitches don’t cover. I plan to make this into a little pillow for Grace. Or maybe I should start over?

Is twilling something you have tried?

Back to the real world and 4:30 alarms as I start back to work tomorrow.

Saying good-bye to vacation on the Journey, Jackie

Good luck this week getting back to reality. Hold on to those wonderful memories!

Sandi, I certainly love being home and would love to be able to spend more time with the boys. They need to move closer. 🙂

It looks like what used to be called candlewicking (not that I ever did that). It’s pretty with the variegated thread.

There is a difference between candlewicking and twilling though they do look similar. Twilling is a continuous stitch, candlewicking is not. I figured the variegated thread would distract from mistakes. 🙂
