I played with many layout options on this quilt that can be seen over here. I ended up with this option, different from the rest, but similar to my Box of Chocolates.I used Moda’s Joy Batiks Jelly Roll by Laundry Basket Quilts.I sewed two strips together, pairing a red with each set.
Then cut into triangles with the Creative Grids Double Strip, Quarter-Square Triangle ruler. Then I played with options:I loved the top left layout the best but I didn’t have enough of the combinations to make a decent sized quilt.
Here is a close-up of the front. I did straight-line quilting about 3/8 inch away from the seam. A lot of stops and starts but good practice with a ruler on my long arm. Here is a close-up on the back, attempting to show the quilting on the back.
Another easy finish, on the Journey, Jackie
