Christmas Candy Sticks

This started as a Jelly Roll Race experiment gone bad. My thoughts of controlled random didn’t work. So I ripped out and started over. Snowman Jelly RollVery controlled and if I hadn’t lost pieces in the cutting above, it would be more symmetrical I may have to do another one to put my ideas to test.

Here is a close-up of the quilting. I was going for a swirling wind/snow look.Christmas Candy Sticks Close-upAnd the back:Christmas Candy Sticks Backing

I used the “Snowed In” jelly roll strips from Connecting Threads. I love the bright and cheery colors and it makes for a very fun quilt. It finishes at 44 x 70. I used Aurifil thread to piece it and Superior So Fine (451) for the quilting.

After the redo on the direction, it pieced and quilted up easily and quickly.

Are there any “redo’s” in your life?

Loving a finish on the Journey, Jackie
