A Finish!

I’ve been calling this my Connecting Threads Fat Quarter Quilt because it is fabric from Connecting Threads and the size bundle I used. It needs a name. Taking pictures, the thought “Pitcher’s Mound” came to mind because of the design. Not very sexy.
1-DSCN7922I used an “e” and “l” loop around the larger diamonds with a spiral feather motif inside. 2-DSCN7913The smaller squares were quilted with an orange peel design. 3-DSCN7918I used leftover fabrics to piece a back, also from Connecting Threads. Had to get a little creative with my piecing to make it work.2-DSCN7909Once the quilt was off the long arm, I had enough fabric from the back to use as binding. 3-DSCN7910

I love the design. Not all designs in my head translate well into a quilt. This one did. 1-4-DSCN7894The quilt finishes at 47″ x 63″ using Connecting Threads fabric, and Aurifil thread for the piecing and quilting.

Any happy finishes in your life?
