Colson is celebrating his birthday today. He shares a room and a love of baseball with his brother Camden. Camden’s quilt, with a blue background will be given in May for his birthday.
I used a simple half square triangle design to surround the panel blocks. I discovered I can match seams much better when they are smaller than these large blocks. While I don’t like that they don’t match, I decided not to stress over it.
I found the perfect pantograph pattern at Urban Elementz to use to go with the baseball theme.
I discovered after the quilt was done, that I should have loaded the quilt on the long arm upside down, or turned my pantograph upside down. The quilt pattern is upside down on the quilt. 🙂I don’t think Colson will notice. If he does I will tell him he will be able to see the pattern in the right direction when he is in bed looking down at it.
The quilt finishes at 42 x 65. Large enough to cover his bed but not too large to use around the house.
Happy Birthday Colson. Love Grandma
