Student Spotlight – Quilting Convert?

1-DSCN4644

For those of us avid quilters out there, we know, quilting is addicting. When I started quilting again after many years, I didn’t realize how addicting it was or that I wasn’t the only one that felt that way. While Kathy is not fully entrenched into the quilting world yet (notice the key word here – “yet”) she is slowly becoming a convert.

She started with the Veteran Sew-in’s but admittedly stayed behind the camera as much as possible. Until she discovered this….5-P1210315

Now while it wasn’t love at first sight, she quickly picked up the hang of it and by the time she was done, she was hooked.

The pattern lent itself to several different options:

Don’t you just love the way she quilted it?Student Classes July 2013I know she has another quilt brewing in her head. It will be interesting to see what it becomes once it is translated into fabric.

Didn’t Kathy do a wonderful job?

Nicely done, Kathy! I hope you want to do another and join us on the dark side! Quilters are interesting, creative, sharing people which you know because of Jackie. Enough said. 😎

Thanks Diane. She hasn’t moved to the dark side yet…..

      Susan,

Maybe with the encouragement she is getting she’ll start on the one she hopes to do in the future.
