Black and White with a Little Red

I really need a name for this quilt.

I started with this:Black White Red Quilt

And ended with this:

I removed the off-white and brown/black fabrics and altered the pattern. Notice I started out with 3 pattern options and ended up with a 4th.

I did a little testing along the way, these did not become part of the final design either.Black White Red Quilt Black White Red QuiltEver have this going on in the midst of your quilting? Chain piecing waiting in line to be cut. And in this case half-square triangles also to be cut. Black White Red QuiltHere is a close-up of the design:3-DSCN5322

And the quilting. It was my first attempt using a pantograph. 1-DSCN5629

The quilt finishes at 46 x 65. A good size for a couch throw. Most likely it will be a donation quilt.

Donation or not, it needs a name, any suggestions?

This is really awesome Jackie–one of my favorite color combinations! The quilting looks great too, nice job!

      Nadine,

Thank you for stopping by. Yes, I love the combination as well. There may be more in my future.

I see the red units as gemstones (rubies?) nestled within stars. Rubies Among the Stars is my suggestion for a name. But whatever the name, I think the quilt is awesome.

What a great name Nancy. I have been drawing a blank and I really like that. I’ve been asked to make it into a pattern…. hummm maybe now with a name attached to it.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
