2014 Goals Part 2

Yesterday I talked about all the WIP’s I want to finish up for 2014. This post is for all the things I hope to start and finish this year. These are in no particular order, though the boys quilts are for their birthdays (March and July) so they will be priority.

Space quilts for grandsons Caiden and Christian (5 and 3) using this fabric…1-DSCN5382

and this embroidery pack. The designs are 3D and come with glasses. Do you think some boys will have fun with those? 2-DSCN5388

This next one is a cheat, it should have been on yesterday’s list, as I had forgotten it was already in process…. another veteran quilt with mini charms.2-DSCN5403

I have this space quilt panel to use:

This Christmas panel to use:

I want to make another selvage edge quilt.Selvage Edge Quilt

These puppies offered quite the afternoon of fun for 4 and 5-year-old cousins during Christmas and I while I found makeshift leases for them, I was asked to make them “real” leases….

I want to develop a pattern using this layer cake. I’ve gone back to the drawing board more than once on this.

4-Layer Cake Squares

I loved making these in 2012 and had them on my 2013 list to make more. DSCN3146

As long as we are on the Christmas theme, I also loved making these and want more:

Two charm packs that I also want to use this year.

Finally, my Japanese taupes that I have wanted to use for a couple of years now. Web 1Finally (who am I kidding) I plan to use the rest of these as leader/enders. As much as they are a bear to work with, I like how the current quilt is coming together.

1-DSCN5405So this wraps up part 2 of my resolutions for 2014. I am sure life, events and inspiration will bring other quilts and projects into my life this year.

I realize many of the ones I haven’t started is because I tend to over think and plan.

How about you, what kind of planner are you?

Looking forward to the journey in 2014, Jackie

3D embroidery designs look very cool!!! I bet your grandsons will love that! You have lots of nice projects to work on. I can’t wait to see all you do this year.
