Fabric Fun and Other Goodies

On Saturday I posted about my “Project Lydia” purchases at the Sewing and Quilt Expo. Today it is all about me. I really didn’t purchase much, as I was busy taking long arm classes. I was also disappointed by the lack of vendors. This show has decreased in vendor participation over the last few years. There is the hope they will be able to build back the show. I was able to find a few things of interest though.

This will make a cute mug rug. A splurge, but too fun to pass up.

The clothesline is thicker than what I found for the bowls I made over here, and while I don’t “need” fabric strips, this roll of batiks was too inviting to pass up.

I am not sure why I buy patterns, I tend to do my own thing, but these are foundation patterns for using small pieces and I love the thought of using up scraps.

DSCN5061Last is a box of 50 fat quarters, and charm packs that I purchased at the last Craftsy sale.

There is a lot of fun in this picture.

DSCN5039The hard part in all of this, is figuring what I want to do for the Black Friday Sew-in on Twitter later this week.

Enjoy the Journey, Jackie

I attended that show a few years back when it was in MA and I remember loads of vendors. I’d be interested to know if that has decreased as you mention. Looks like I’ll have to go again!

      Sandy,

When I first attended years ago it was packed with vendors and people. The focus was mainly sewing with a little quilting. They changed locations several years ago and attendance started to drop. They moved back to the original location this year. I hope it improves. I am just thankful for the classes that were offered. The timing was perfect.
