Veteran Quilts, Part One

My goal this past year was to finish up 12 more lap quilts in time for this year’s Veteran Day’s so they could be given to Ben, who serves as Chaplain in a local We Honor Veteran’s facility. Pictures of last year’s work as well as progress over this past year can be found on my We Honor Veteran’s page.P1220437 - Copy_wmFriday evening was another time of fellowship, fun, laughter and sewing. Most of the women have attended enough times to be comfortable with their projects where they only need intermittent help. That meant I was able to get some sewing time as well.

I still have veteran fabric left and there are still some unfinished quilts so we will continue to work on them before moving to other donation quilting and sewing projects. Project Linus is one, making walker totes for a local nursing home is also on the list.

Thank-you ladies for your hard work. See you again next month.

Enjoy the Journey, Jackie
