July WIP’s

While getting ready to write this post I was thinking I really hadn’t accomplished much in June but in reviewing last months WIP’s, I discovered I did finish up more than I thought. Plus the things I started and finished in June.

Still on the docket:

Black, White and Red quilt:

3-Recently Updated

Now that I know how large I plan to make this and I have all the pieces cut it, it will be a leader/ender project. I doubt it will get done in July, but you never know.

I did get a little sidetracked and made these selvage edge coasters from the  black white and red  selvage edges:

Selvage Edge CoastersAnother project for July is to write a tutorial for those.

Still quilting this:

DSCN4127 (800x520)I did a few of the blocks with a walking foot, but found it annoying to twist and turn the quilt constantly. Recently switched to my free motion foot. I figure it is a good way to practice stitching straight lines regardless of direction. Challenging, let me tell you.

A little more cutting on this project:

7-2013 Quilt GoalsThe bottom photos are projects that have been stewing in my head for a very long time.

What are your July projects?

Enjoy the Journey, Jackie

That’s a great name, slow and steady projects. You have really interesting projects ongoing. Never boring, is it?

Slow and steady seemed to fit. I love all the possibilities with quilting and the fact that I can pick up any project to go with my mood at the time.

Thank you Susan. I think because I work on so many different projects as much, it doesn’t seem like I am making any progress.

I also find it amazing how much I’ve done, even when I think I haven’t done much at all. Nice work!
