iPod Nano, Credit Card or M3P Player Wallet Tutorial

This tutorial will walk you through the steps to make this:

Note: The credit card holder has an option of 4 pockets to hold your cards.

Materials Needed:

  • Several scraps of fabric at least 7 x 5 inches
  • One piece (your outside fabric, can be pieced)
  • Lightweight iron-on stabilizer 7 x 5


  • Cut your outside, lining and stabilizer 6.5 x 4.5
  • Cut two pocket fabrics 5.5 x 4.5
  • For optional pockets in the credit card holder, cut 2 pocket fabrics 5 x 4.5

  • Take your pocket pieces and fold in half, wrong sides together so it measures 2.75 x 4.5
  • Repeat for optional pockets to measure 2.5 x 4.5
  • Press your stabilizer to the wrong side of your outside fabric, following the manufacturers directions

  • Lay your piece in this order on the table
    • Outside fabric, right side up
    • Optional – smaller 2.5 x 4.5 pockets on each end of the outside fabric, raw edges facing out
    • Pockets, 2.5 x 4.5 on each end of the outside fabric, raw edges facing out
    • Sew 1/4 along the long edge only

    Place your lining fabric on top of the pieces you just stitched, right sides together:

    Sew 1/4 inch along the long edges only:

    Trim your edges to reduce the bulk in your seams and corners:

    Turn your holder right side out from one of your end openings:

    It will look like this:

    The the holder again to bring your pockets to the inside:

    Poke out your corners, press and you are done!

    Variations and a great way to use up scraps:
