Lots of fabric buying lately without spending a lot of dollars. I took advantage of buying more patriotic fabric for the veteran quilts and started a stash for walker totes for a nearby nursing home from JoAnn Fabrics:Last week, my 12 pound grab bag from Fat Quarter Shop arrived. This is the first I have had a chance to review what was in the box. Not only was the grab bag discounted twice, I had a coupon code. I estimated low on the amount of fabric and figure it is over 30 yards of fabric. Pieces vary from 6-20 inches, with most being 15 inches or more.
The solids and tone on tones:
Muted prints, they will be perfect for the walker totes and lap quilts:
Reds and floral’s:
Strips, and dots:
Children and teens:
Flannel, linen, laminated, batik and Stonehenge:
The box felt like Mary Poppins travel bag, the fabric just seemed to keep coming and coming. Some of the fabrics I am excited to use as the are outside my comfort zone. Others, who knows, I am sure I will find the perfect use.
I love finding bargains and while I do buy quilting fabric at full price, it is a bonus to find really good sales.
Thanks to my Twitter quilting friends who shared their finds. Do you have any recent finds worth sharing?
Enjoy the Journey, Jackie
