Forth finish for January and the New Year:
This is a small quilt 33 x 33 that I started last summer while camping using leftover fabrics from a project long long ago. I had finished piecing it several months ago but needed backing and binding fabric. I bought the backing fabric (along with many other items) at Rocking Chair Quilts using a birthday coupon they give to subscribers to their newsletter.
Here is a picture of the back to show the quilting:
I just used a simple straight line echo stitch in each block and straight lines in the sashing:I didn’t think too much about the size and if I had I would have made it larger so it could be donated to Project Linus. I am sure it will find a good home somewhere. It would make a fun colorful baby play mat.
Next projects, work on quilting some larger quilts that need more attention.
I wish I could say the rest of my New Year’s goals were as successful as my quilting goals, how about you?
Enjoy the journey, Jackie
