Confetti

Forth finish for January and the New Year:
DSCN3535 (1024x977)_wmThis is a small quilt 33 x 33 that I started last summer while camping using leftover fabrics from a project long long ago. I had finished piecing it several months ago but needed backing and binding fabric. I bought the backing fabric (along with many other items) at Rocking Chair Quilts using a birthday coupon they give to subscribers to their newsletter.

Here is a picture of the back to show the quilting:

DSCN3539 (1024x768)_wmI just used a simple straight line echo stitch in each block and straight lines in the sashing:DSCN3534I didn’t think too much about the size and if I had I would have made it larger so it could be donated to Project Linus. I am sure it will find a good home somewhere. It would make a fun colorful baby play mat.

Next projects, work on quilting some larger quilts that need more attention.

I wish I could say the rest of my New Year’s goals were as successful as my quilting goals, how about you?

Enjoy the journey, Jackie

You did a great job finding backing fabric to match the front of this cute quilt. I love dots.

      Thank you,

I actually bought two different fabrics just in case I changed my mind once I got the fabrics home. I did have fabrci swatches of the prints in the quilt and the blue was a different tone so I wasn’t sure I would like it. Figured it was on the back and it was fun so it really wouldn’t matter. I’m glad to have another finish.
