Black Friday is officially a “sew-in” day for quilters on Twitter. Shop or sew? Anyone that knows me, knows that is a silly question.

Here are the projects that kept me busy on Black Friday:

Set of Christmas cards for a friend:
These were made from left over scraps, strips of fabric from 1/2 to 3/4 inches wide. I didn’t have a plan, I just started piecing.

Selvage Edge Stockings:

Tutorial will follow.

A little bit of pebble quilting on a space cheater cloth:These are pretty tiny so it is slow going.

Sandy hurricane donation quilt:

This is made from a Connecting Threads layer cake that I have had for some time. I have ordered border, binding and backing fabric and in the meantime I will ponder the quilt design.

Finally, I finished up my Christmas wrapping:I have a few presents on order that will need to be wrapped, along with the gifts for my students and friends to finish up.

So how did you spend your Black Friday?

Enjoy the journey, Jackie

The cards came as part of kit, I used the cards but not the pattern, I made up my own. I am going to check to see what I can in regards to ordering them online
