I had the pleasure of watching a very pretty young lady one evening. After her dinner, we made cookies together (I forgot to take pictures).
I know she would have been fine playing on her own, but I got to thinking if my 2 yr-old granddaughter likes to sew, maybe Bethany would enjoy sewing as well (what is there not to like about sewing)?
I asked her if she would like to make a pillow for her doll and off we went.
She said orange, blue and green were her favorite colors so I suggested she choose two colors, one for the front and one for the back.
I drew a line on the fabrics for her to follow with scissors and she did a wonderful job.

The next step was sewing.
Since this was her first time at a sewing machine I decided to have her sit on my lap so she could get a feel of the process. My hands were busy so there are no pictures, hopefully next time.
Her she is stuffing her pillow with fabric scraps (you know I can’t let them go to waste).

Next project for the next visit will be a doll blanket.
Thanks Bethany for sewing with me.
Enjoy the journey, Jackie
