Pillow Projects Day Two

Pillows done for one room, now for day two pillows. Just as the day before meant busy busy for my daughter, this day was no different, though today I was able to help her more in the kitchen.

There were brownie bites covered in toffee or cocoa, butter mints, and mini sandwich prep. In the midst of each item there were dirty dishes, and more dirty dishes. Oh and did I mention the dirty dishes that we kept creating? Not only did I forget to take pictures of all those dishes, I also forgot to take pictures of the pretty desserts.

Our workspace – the boys classroom (with yesterday’s mess):

Today’s pillows were simpler in construction and they sewed up quickly. It also meant our time together was coming to an end as it would be our last day together for this trip.

Last year’s projects were skirts for her and a friend. This year it was pillows plus “homework”  for when I return home – a selvage edge table runner for a side table.

Miss and love you, Baby – your Mommy

And yes even though she is almost 30, “Baby” has been my nickname for her since she was little and will always be and I am still “Mommy” at times to her. Interestingly enough she doesn’t ever want her boys to stop calling her “Mommy.”

I can’t wait for next year and the projects it will bring.

Enjoy the journey, Jackie
