“SeamedUP” Treasure

This will be a future quilt for my almost 2-year-old granddaughter.

If you have not already checked out the SeamedUP site found here and you are a quilter or fabric crafter you need to head over and take a look.

They hosted a “Back to School, Back to Sewing” contest that encouraged members to interact in various ways on their site. The timing was perfect for me. I had a couple of weeks that allowed me to enter in my books, patterns and projects. As a result, I won this bundle of fat quarters. It is perfect for a quilt I was planning on making for a Christmas present.
Here is another picture of the fabric. It is so inviting. I haven’t designed a pattern for it yet, but I can’t wait to get started.

Do you struggle with making the first cut? I can’t wait to use the fabric but I know once I cut I am committed. Granted, I can change directions within the limitations of the cuts and amount of fabric and choose to do something else.

Rarely, do i end up with the same quilt I have planned because I make changes along the way, but 99% of the time I am very happy with the end result. Isn’t that much like our life’s journey, we struggle with the decisions we have to make, most of the time we are pleased with the outcome of those decisions and yet when the next decision needs to be made, we experience the same struggle yet again.

So what are your decision struggles?
